Bruchsal asparagus – a regional delicacy
Here in Bruchsal everything revolves around this noble vegetable during the asparagus season which starts at the end of April and runs through to 24th June, Saint John’s Eve. On the theme "Fresh from the field to the table", you’ll not only be spoiled by the Bruchsal gastronomy with traditional asparagus specialities but also by unusual combinations. The baroque town itself also offers a lot of interesting takes on the theme of asparagus.
The secret of the Bruchsal asparagus is the loose, fine sandy soil of the Rhine Valley and the many hours of sunshine, which characterise its fine taste and is the reason for our asparagus being in such great demand across Germany and the neighbouring countries.
